Stargate Universe Exclusive news tv show, and games

The second live-action series to spin-off of the hit science fiction series Stargate SG-1 was green-lighted a day after the announcement that Stargate Atlantis will be canceled after its fifth season run. Stargate Universe premiered with a two-hour movie and then went immediately to its new timeslot. Hi all Exclusive With the help of teenager mathematics prodigy Eli Wallace (David Blue), Dr. Nicholas Rush (Robert Carlyle) discovers what he believes is the secret to intergalactic travel using the Stargate's heretofore unlocked ninth chevron. However, when the base where the Stargate is kept comes under attack, Rush insists on using the Stargate to evacuate, disregarding the orders of commanding officer Colonel Everett Young (Louis Ferreira). Lt. Matthew Scott (Brian J. Smith) is the first officer through the wormhole, leading the military and civilian survivors through before the base is destroyed. What awaits them on the other side is an unmanned automated starship named the Destiny, launched by the Ancients thousands of years ago at the height of their civilization as a portal to other galaxies. Among the survivors is: Master Sergeant Tamara Johansen (Alaina Huffman), a field medic woefully underequipped to deal with the injuries they've suffered and the problems they encounter; Chloe Armstrong (Elyse Levesque), daughter and assistant to her dead father, Senator Armstrong; and Camille Wray, the IOA representative and human resources manager. The Destiny lacks the power necessary to create a super-wormhole back to Earth. Although they can program the ship to stop at Stargates that the Ancients sent ahead, the automated systems cause the ship to depart twelve hours upon arrival. If someone is left behind, there is no way to go back for them, adding to the drama of encountering new races, enemies, and adventures, and finding a way to bolster their dwindling supplies. Their only contact with Earth is through a series of Ancient communication stones, but only Dr. Rush knows how to use them... and he intends to use the opportunity to the fullest to explore alien planets and discover Ancient technology, no matter what the cost. Robert Carlyle as Nicholas Rush – The "ship's brilliant Machiavellian scientist" whom producer Joseph Mallozzi had first mentioned in his blog in mid-November 2008 as Dr. David Rush. The ship's crew believe Rush to be losing his mind, but he does things for a reason. Carlyle explained in an interview that after the death of Rush's wife, Rush is driven by the opportunity to explore the galaxy. rectified casting reports in mid-December 2008. that Rush "is not the leader of the unplanned expedition. That honor falls to Colonel Everett Young. For now. But things could have a way of changing on board a ship manned by a disparate group with very different agendas...". Although a confirmed main character, Rush was not included in the initial casting character breakdowns.[15] Wright and Cooper intended the character to be very different from any previous main characters in the Stargate franchise, "somebody who is not the hero, not the villain, and more of a very flawed and complex person".[16] About a year before being cast, Scottish actor Robert Carlyle wanted to try something new in his career and approached television companies in Los Angeles. They offered him several parts, but Stargate Universe had the greatest appeal to him as "suddenly a drama [was] opening up in space, in the past that was something that was slightly missing from the genre". He was aware of the success of the Stargate franchise and had seen "quite a bit of SG-1, plus a bunch of Atlantis". Carlyle accepted the role because of Wright and Cooper's take on the drama and direction of the show, and he is "more than prepared" to play the character for possibly many years. Carlyle keeps his Scottish accent for the role.

How Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Scored the Lead in 'Transformers

Hi every on enjoy it.... When it was announced that Megan Fox would not be returning for a third "Transformers" movie and the female lead would be played by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, a British-born Victoria's Secret model with no acting experience, a lot of people were surprised. And that includes the guy who gave her the job. "I would never hire a model," said Michael Bay, the director of all three "Transformers" movies, when I visited his Santa Monica office. "It wouldn't cross my mind." And yet he was the one who encouraged Huntington-Whiteley to audition and eventually picked her over 500 other hopeful actresses to play Shia LaBeouf's love interest in the film. Watch the brand-new trailer for "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" to see Rosie in action, and then read on to learn why Bay changed his mind and put her in the movie.
Watch it in HD After a contentious press tour for 2009's "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," with Megan Fox and Michael Bay trading barbs with each other in interviews, it was announced in May of 2010 that she would not reprise her role in the third movie. This sparked a worldwide search for an actress to step into the part of Carly, a new romantic partner for Shia LaBeouf's character. Several well-known actresses were considered for the job; reportedly, Gemma Arterton, Zoe Saldana, Ashley Greene, and Hayden Panetierre were all candidates. But Bay wanted to go a different way. He said, "Replacing Megan, it was something more interesting to go with something brand new and fresh. Because, when it's brand new it's kind of a new discovery for the audience, too." ['Transformers: Dark of the Moon'] 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' Paramount Pictures While Rosie Huntington-Whiteley had never acted in a film before, she had worked with Michael Bay in the past. He met her when she modeled in a Victoria's Secret commercial he directed. Bay said he was taken by her attitude: "She was very spunky. She's got this cute English accent, and she's got a great head on her shoulders." Photos: 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' posters >> So Bay reached out to Huntington-Whiteley directly via email to convince her to come in for an audition: "I said, 'This might sound crazy, but this could be a life-changing thing. I mean, it doesn't really happen much. Would you ever be interested in being in this movie?'" She went in to read for the part, but she wasn't told much about it and only given one page of dialogue from the script. Rosie told Access Hollywood that she "didn't think that [the audition] went particularly well." But then a few days later she was called back to meet Shia LaBeouf and do a screen test. Since this is a Michael Bay movie, even the screen test was a massive undertaking. Bay said, "We brought her on set with Shia and with the crew. We shot with her for six hours... We put her through the rigmarole." Bay pushed Rosie to be herself, and what he saw impressed him enough that he signed her on to the film.
